'I Think I'm Gonna Like this release...' Last years 'Viva Las Vegas' release was a real winner and included lots of new and fresh sounding tracks with cool edits. Fun In Acapulco | Spliced Takes Special CD is no different and will surprise you with a great new soundtrack which includes 13 (!!) new and unreleased spliced takes. Almost all tracks have a longer running time due to the clever use of different takes. The title track has been re-edited and sounds like a completely new take! The same goes for 'Rhumba In A Sports Car' which has also been extended.
Work In Progress | The Guitar Man Album Sessions Volume 1 CD Set. In 1980 Felton Jarvis, Elvis' record producer for the last decade came to the remarkable idea to freshen up some of Elvis' recordings. The idea was to add totally new backing tracks to Elvis' voice. This resulted in the 1981 record release of 'Guitar Man'. Felton was convinced Elvis would have loved it. The original album contained 10 songs (which all can be heard in a wonderful newly remastered sound quality on this new 2 CD set). But Felton worked on a bunch of other songs to see if they would suit the project. This special 2 CD set contains many of those unreleased versions that never made it to the record. Also included are some unreleased unfinished versions of tracks that did make it to the final GUITAR MAN album.
The legendary 40 Greatest! 2 CD Set PINK ALBUM is now available on a deluxe double compact disc set. Elvis' 40 Greatest, originally released (on Arcade) in 1974 and UK's biggest-selling album over the Christmas period of that year, but along with all albums on K-tel, Ronco and Arcade, it was ineligible for the UK Albums Chart until 1975 because it was felt that heavy TV advertising and low pricing distorted the charts. It finally reached number one on the UK Albums Chart in 1977, and became the 10th best-selling album of the 1970s in the UK.
Southbound was originally released in 1998 featuring the August 31 1976 show from Macon Georgia. The 7th tour of 1976 is not known as being the best tour in Elvis' career. During this particular show Elvis appeared demotivated. He was definitely struggling to get to the end of this engagement. Most likely the crowd never even noticed this as they go wild like always as Elvis delivered a mediocre performance.
Hometown Memphis is a 6 CD set to be released soon. This is a limited numbered set of 300 copies.
Next up in the well-received 'Ballads' series is 'California Ballads '. As a follow up for 'Hollywood Ballads' and after the great success of the previous releases 'Nashville Ballads', 'Memphis Ballads' & 'Vegas Ballads' this is a compilation of some of his best California ballads. Housed in a beautiful deluxe 6-panel digipack.
Petticoat records is back with The Elvis Presley Way CD & LP Record. This time with a fantastic vinyl album full of late-sixties classics. This high-quality album (including bonus CD) featuring 14 rare and hard to find alternate versions of these classics is now available. Great stuff: beautiful ballads as well as some great rockers! And as always housed in a STUNNING full-color sleeve suitable for framing! This high-quality vinyl pressing is now available in very limited GOLD or CLEAR vinyl. Don't miss out on this ultimate holiday gift.
CMT returns with Elvis Presley 'Vegas Throat', an incredible follow up to last years 'I'm Evil'. Presented in a six-panel digipack, limited to 500 copies, this one will be sold out before Christmas! Every Elvis fan of course will know that this year marked the 50th anniversary of Elvis returning to the stage. An amazing 11 disc boxset was released and although it is a must, it is most likely it will be played often because most shows are pretty much the same as the one before. CMT has made an outstanding 'Ultimate' release which includes ALL the songs (29 tracks!) from the shows in ONE performance! Lots of time and effort went into the editing and it sounds like one complete show. This is the one you will be playing over and over, this is why we are Elvis fans; to enjoy his music!
The ELVIS Movie | Starring Kurt Russell with the soundtrack of Elvis Presley! It's the same story but the performances have made an incredible upgrade with Ronnie McDowell's soundtrack replaced with the only soundtrack that should have been there in the first place -- Elvis'. In addition, lots more music has been included along with blockbusters like 'Walk the Line' and 'Great Balls of Fire', giving the movie a more 'professional' touch. And rare Elvis Presley live versions and outtakes were handpicked to find the best matching songs for the scenes. Kurt Russell's 'playbacking' looks much more natural and real than before, and how cool it is to hear the actual radio broadcast (Dewey Phillips) from the time when 'That's All Right' was first played on the air, or to hear 'The Blackwood Brothers' at the funeral of Elvis his mother Gladys.
Coming this week from Venus Productions is 'The Guitar Player Worth A Damn', volume 4 in their 'The King in Motion' series. The 200-page book contains unreleased photos and insightful liner-notes.
Elvis By Request Of Japanese Fans was originally released as a 4 LP set in 1980 this set has always been a fan favorite. Not only this is one of the best compiled Elvis releases of all time, but also the cover art drew some attention. Many times referred to as the 'tear' cover this set can be found in many serious Elvis collections. It's a stunning beauty. And now this wonderful box set is available on cd. Presented in a clamshell box set including the original LP set on 3 CDs plus a fantastic bonus cd containing rare or hard to find recordings. The set contains the original tracks as released on the 1980 Japanese LP set. So for the first time you can find some original electronic stereo tracks on CD. MTP is back with two (2) amazing new releases, 'Out In Hollywood' Vol. 3 and 'The Nashville Marathon' Vol. 2. We all remember the 'good old days' when FTD released their first releases like 'The Jungle Room Sessions', 'Fame and Fortune' and 'Out in Hollywood'. Those CDs were in our players for weeks, due to all the unreleased stuff, great sound quality and last but not least the fact there were a lot of complete outtakes never heard before. After a while, although the releases were still fantastic, we got more and more CDs with lots of outtakes from the same songs, great for collecting, but the listening pleasure was a bit less fun... The label continues their series with two releases which will be in your player for weeks, and are again 'Meant to be Played'.
CMT is proud to present a new Spliced Takes CD, Viva Las Vegas which includes 15 unreleased new spliced takes!
One of the highlights probably is the 'longer' version of 'If You Think...' it has been created using 8 splices and includes multiple sax solo's 'Do the Vega' has been giving an extra 'touch' by repeating the 'Shake like a son....' portion which makes it sound more up to date and modern.
'Singer Presents Elvis' was released in 2011 by the Venus label. Now we have a single CD only re-release. This set was first released in 2011 and sold out immediately, mainly because of the many completely unreleased tracks. Most of these tracks are still only available on this set and we’ve got a lot of request for this CD. So we decided to make a low budget version and give everyone the possibility to own these recording on the label that made them available. As with all Venus releases all tracks are uncut and the sound is top-notch!
The European Side Of Elvis / Words And Music 2 CD set is housed in a beautiful slipcase is a 6-panel digipack with 2 rare albums. This Limited Edition Combi Collectors Pack contains masters and rare alternate tracks. 'Words and Music' was only released on CD in Australia in the mid-'80s and is very hard to find these days. We present it here with rare bonus tracks and mixed with Elvis quotes just like the original release. 'The European Side Of Elvis' was never released on CD. All tracks on this album are rare alternate tracks!!
August 1974 is a remarkable period in Elvis' career. A new Vegas engagement was ahead of him and Elvis and his loyal musicians had plans for a new and refreshing show, which they were going to perform for a two week period. Probably to avoid getting bored from doing the same year in and year out, they went to rehearse some new songs to create the new setlist. Fortunately, the rehearsal from August 16 was recorded on a 2 track cassette deck and is presented here in its ultimate form. Originally released way back in 1995 it was time for an update.
Victrola is proud to present an ultimate 3CD-set of Elvis' 'Clambake' sessions. It is called simply 'Elvis Sessions From Clambake' and all these recordings including the masters came from the same 1989 DAT source tapes just as our very successful 2018 'Avventura In Oriente' 3CD release. We have decided to give that album a worthy follow up! What makes this new release special? Most tracks have been released before, but never before in such pristine quality!!! For the first time also, we release the stereo versions of the home recordings of '500 Miles' and 'Blowing In The Wind'! All tracks have been digitally restored and mastered in a renowned sound studio.

The second release from MTP records is out now and the 6363 Sunset Volume 2 Deluxe Digipack CD will be another fan favorite.
Next up in the well-received 'Ballads' CD series is 'Vegas Ballads 1969–1975'. Housed in a beautiful deluxe 6-panel digipack.
The Classic Bootleg Collection Volume 2 is a sublime 6 cd box set with 6 classic Elvis Presley bootleg albums. Again there is chosen for some '50s, '60s and '70s instead of focusing on one time period. This way all will be served! There is a big chance your favorite Elvis bootleg album is presented in this boxset. These were the albums in the late 1970s and 1980s that fans were longing for, cause it presented much better (and rarer!) material than Elvis' own record company released in those days. This stunning box contains miniature albums of the original releases and includes all the original album tracks, digitally remastered and they now sound better than ever before! Still many of these tracks are unreleased by Elvis' official record company.

Time for some action!
'The Sound Of Your Cry' together with its American equivalent 'Greatest Hits Volume 1' always brings back some fine memories. The unique mixes on these two albums make these albums everlasting fan favorites. 'The Sound Of Your Cry' (The album) has never been available on CD until now. Added are the tracks that were featured on 'Greatest Hits Volume 1' that were not featured on 'The Sound Of Your Cry'. All versions are the correct versions as featured on the two albums and some are still unique to these albums only. For example the extended version of 'It's Only Love' and the unique edit of 'What'd I Say' are among the gems that make this album unique. Also worth mentioning are great mixes of 'Angel' & 'Steamroller Blues'. Probably the best compilation album to date.

Including rare footage and home movies, original clips from the movies, and some cool vintage commercials from 1968! (Yes, the Big Mac also has its 50th anniversary!) A new release just announced from the AUDIREC label is a 4-CD longbox with 3 different cover variations to choose from. (This means 3 different covers and from each set also discs come with a different print).

'The Unreachable Star' | Elvis As recorded at Madison Square Garden
... How good is this!!! How excited we were when the announcement came about the newly discovered Madison Square Garden high-quality Super-8 footage and that it would be released on 'Prince From Another Planet'. But then how disappointed we were when seeing the final result with the whole show on DVD but with 70% without footage! Fortunately, Elvis fans have stepped up to the plate by redoing the
Madison Square Garden footage from scratch
. Although still not a complete show it is now an incredible 41-minute feature will blow you away

'Virginia Loves Elvis' DVD (Digitally Remastered) | Recorded live at Hampton Roads Coliseum. April 9, 1972. (8.30 pm). Hampton, VA.
This digitally remastered set has been re-edited from scratch, including new angles and rare outtakes, presented in deluxe digipack, and full WIDESCREEN. They have presented the show in 16:9 ratio, which is quite impressive. There's some quality loss as most on stage footage was shot in 4:3 format but on my 55" screen it still looks very good and is something you can watch time and again. Some highlights are the COMPLETE versions of 'An American Trilogy' and 'Love Me Tender' and probably the winner would be 'How Great Thou Art' presented in MULTI ANGLES with some very rare footage, it brings it more 'alive' since you see both Elvis and The Stamps Quartet harmonizing the song!

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
